Enabling JavaScript
Please see your browser's instructions for enabling JavaScript. These brief instructions may help.
Firefox, Safari, Explorer, Netscape, and AOL browsers.
Firefox
- Select Tools > Options > Web Features
- Check Enable JavaScript
Safari
- Select Preferences > Security
- Check Enable JavaScript.
Internet Explorer 3
- Select View > Options > Security
- Check Enable Java Programs.
Internet Explorer 4
- Select View > Internet Options Security > Custom > Settings.
- Scroll down to locate Scripting.
- Click Enable for Active Scripting.
Internet Explorer 5
- Select Tools > Internet Options > Security
- Click Custom level button at bottom. Security Settings dialog box will pop up.
- Under Scripting category enable Active Scripting, Allow paste options via script and Scripting of Java applets
Internet Explorer 5 for MAC OSX
- Select Explorer > Preferences.
- Click the arrow next to Web Browser.
- Click Web Content.
- Under Active Content check Enable Scripting.
Internet Explorer 5 for MAC OS9
- Select Edit > Preferences
- Click the arrow next to Web Browser.
- Click Web Content.
- Under Active Content check Enable Scripting.
Internet Explorer 6
- Select Tools > Internet Options > Security > Custom level.
- The Security settings dialog box will pop up.
- Under Scripting, category enable Active Scripting.
Netscape 3
- Select Edit > Options > Network Preferences > Languages.
- Check Enable JavaScript.
Netscape 4
- Select Edit > Preferences > Advanced.
- Check JavaScript
Netscape 4 for MAC OS9
- Select Edit > Preferences > Advanced.
- Check both Enable JavaScript
Netscape 6 for MAC OSX
- Select Edit > Preferences > Advanced.
- Check Enable JavaScript for Navigator
Netscape 7
- Select Edit > Preferences > Advanced > Scripts & Plugins.
- Check Navigator beneath "Enable Javascript".
AOL 3.0
- Click Prefs > Security.
- Check Enable Java Programs, if the box is blank, single click on it.
AOL 4.0 and 5.0
- Click My AOL > Preferences > WWW > Security > Custom > Settings.
- Scroll down to locate Scripting.
- Click Enable for Active Scripting.
Note:
AOL users may get a Javascript error but, when using an external browser (i.e., Netscape or Internet Explorer). If so:
- Click My AOL > Preferences > WWW > Web Graphics.
- Uncheck the box next to Use Compressed Graphics.
- Click OK Restart the computer.
