Why must I use standard formats when entering seed marks? Your entries are electronically imported into a meet management computer program. The program may reject or change improperly formatted seed marks. Your athlete may then be either not entered or incorrectly seeded. What's is seed mark format verification? After you enter an athlete's seed mark EZMeets instantly checks the format before you send it. If the format is bad, EZMeets alerts you and changes the bad seed mark to a no-mark entry. That ensures:
- You do not submit a bad seed mark, which the meet management computer may reject or misinterpret.
- Your athlete is still entered in the event, but with no seed mark.
Go back and reenter the seed mark with the correct format. Does EZMeets check for realistic seed marks, like a 5 second 100m dash? No. However, meet management may reject the mark. Your athlete may end up either not entered or get a no-mark seed mark Does EZMeets ensure an event exists? EZMeets rejects females in the 110m Hurdles and males in the 100m Hurdles. Some meets have events for some athletes, but not for others. Example: Women's 3000m and Men's 5000m. EZMeets does not verify this. If you enter an athlete in an incorrect event, meet management will probably not second guess your intentions and reject the entry. How does EZMeets verify? EZMeets uses JavaScript, which runs in your web browser, to verify the format of your seed marks, You must have JavaScript enabled in your browser to ensure you correctly enter your athletes. All recent browsers have JavaScript enabled by default. If your browser isn't JavaScript enabled, get the most recent version of your web browser and/or enable its JavaScript. Please remember, if you submit an entry with a bad seed mark format, it may be rejected.
